About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Mayo Clinic, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide nursing care to assigned patients, collecting data through observation and communicating information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies, and procedures of the organization.
- Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting the needs of the patient/family.
- Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
- One year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and experience working in a team environment are preferred.
