Job Summary

The Recreation Services Supervisor is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating a variety of recreation, sports, and wellness programs and activities for participants of all ages and skill levels. This position involves overseeing the use and condition of recreation venues, equipment, materials, and other assets to ensure safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and promote events, activities, and programs to ensure safety and participant satisfaction
  • Oversee procurement activities for supplies, services, equipment, and other items to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Review, maintain, and update records in various formats, mediums, and automated systems to ensure data integrity and adherence to internal controls, practices, and policies
  • Meet regularly with staff to review work in progress, discuss and resolve issues, and prioritize and assign tasks and projects to ensure deadlines and performance standards are met
  • Manage staff through proper delegation and work supervision to provide appropriate levels of service and resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Public or Business Administration, or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in the oversight or management of recreation programs, or other leisure services and related programs
  • Valid class D driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • First Aid and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire
Working Conditions

This position involves working in a standard office environment and at recreation facilities with exposure to all weather and traffic conditions when outdoors and when traveling to other locations or facilities.
