Role Responsibilities:
This position is accountable for spearheading and implementing internal control practices and operational excellence within a specific Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key duties include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards. Responsibilities encompass supporting the establishment of quality assurance and quality control measures within the LOB or ECF through continuous monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues, and recommending improvements for remediation, as well as developing action plans and milestones.
Key Duties:
- Lead the evaluation of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control framework to support Client Operational Services and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
- Conduct monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and proposing improvements for remediation.
- Oversee the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity.
- Manage the performance and productivity of team members conducting quality inspection reviews.
- Ensure timely execution of QA activities, including control execution, case management, and results reporting.
- Review all operations front line unit responses for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and other monitoring activities.
- Guarantee data accuracy and ensure relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance and dashboard reporting.
- 8-10 years of experience in business or technology.
- At least 2 years focused on Business Process Management (BPM); Six Sigma or Lean experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Technology functions and processes.
- Familiarity with process-based technology frameworks (e.g., ITIL); certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Technology Services and their role in the service lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of COBIT or other best practices; certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically; capable of challenging the status quo and driving change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaboration and influencing abilities.
- Strong relationship management skills; ability to work across various functions and organizational levels.
- Ability to effectively challenge and build consensus, quickly assimilating new concepts.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated dependability with a sense of urgency.
- Experience with Process Maturity Assessments (CMMI, TIPA) or other best practices based on ISI/IEC 15504 standards; certification is a plus.
- ARIS modeling experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of banking technology.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
