We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Med Surgical team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
- Complete patient evaluation before procedure, including review of patient history and diagnostic tests, as well as physical and psychological assessments.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening, to ensure patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.
- Must have either an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) in the state of Georgia.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
