Job Title: Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Kawneer Company, Inc. in Cranberry Township, PA.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the Plant Procurement team, ensuring the optimal collaboration with Capital Procurement, Category Management, and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and enhance procurement organizational efficiency.
  • Lead a team of Buyer/Planners, Specialists, Strategic Sourcing & Estimating functions to achieve procurement targets.
  • Collaborate with Capital and Category Procurement to achieve best procurement results.
  • Monitor and control plant procurement target achievement and initiate counter measures if necessary.
  • Communicate supplier issues to BU Procurement Director and Category Management.
  • Participate in supplier meetings jointly with Category colleagues if relevant for the Plant.
  • Conduct bidding of capital projects and site services.
  • Complete all ASATs & Compliance as required.
  • Conduct all supplier negotiations for the Cranberry location in regards to contracts, payment terms, delivery, pricing, and/or warehousing.
  • Troubleshoot issues as needed, including PO-related management, supplier engagement for rejected material, escalations of all kinds, problem-solving, technical issues, and testing requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution (Engineering, finance, business, or supply chain preferred).
  • 3-10 years of previous work experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Professional Certification - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPIM, CPM, or CSCP) is preferred.
  • JD Edwards or Oracle Experience.
  • Demonstrated flexibility over multiple categories and suppliers.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Project Management, able to manage resources and timelines.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Innovative, strategic thinker.
  • Technical proficiency required, ability to read prints and understand complex manufacturing processes.
