Job Summary

Comcast is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day activities of the team, including external procurement, sourcing, and contracting of goods and services. You will work closely with key stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential partners and suppliers, draft and issue requests for proposals, lead negotiations, and identify and execute on cost reduction opportunities.

Core Responsibilities
  • Select and manage new and existing suppliers through competitive solicitation and direct negotiations.
  • Establish procedures to accomplish procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner and ensure results through consistent monitoring of staff, suppliers, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and report procurement activities, plans, and consult with key representatives across several departments.
  • Assess market conditions that may affect procurements continually.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required, with the ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior contract, technical, and/or procurement experience is beneficial.
  • Extensive abilities in the development of business models, financial analysis, and statistical modeling.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree: Business Administration/Management. While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
