About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Cost Analyst to join our Finance department at Alene Candles. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Cost Accounting function across our three facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and analyze labor, materials, and overhead standard costs in our ERP system (IFS)
  • Ensure the accuracy of job costing reports and product costing for pricing approval
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to develop and maintain accurate standard costs
  • Monitor manufacturing labor and material variances and work closely with plant managers on recommendations for improvement
  • Produce weekly variance reports, identify issues and trends, and recommend changes and enhancements
  • Support month-end deliverables, including reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliation of cost of goods sold accounts
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of scheduled standard cost updates in ERP System (IFS)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Supply Chain
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity and comfort with ERP platforms
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience or exposure to cost accounting
  • Previous experience with IFS
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and multi-tasking skills
  • Problem-solving skills with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to execute tasks independently and meet assigned deadlines in a timely manner
  • Efficient communication skills and adaptability to collaborating across departments and functions
