Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator II to join our Neurodevelopmental Center team. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient service and administrative duties in a clinical setting.
  • Coordinate diagnostic tests, referrals, and appointments.
  • Assist with training and guidance of staff.
  • Verify insurance and prepare billing.
  • Collect data and generate quality assurance reports.
  • Provide basic information to patients and triage phone calls.
  • Order medical records and register patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments using an automated or manual system.
  • Ensure patient forms are completed accurately.
  • Verify patient demographics and EDI insurance verification.
  • Collect co-pays and assist with training/orienting of new staff.
  • Perform and participate in special projects as directed.
Requirements
  • Word processing skills and knowledge of spreadsheets and database systems.
  • Accurate typing and understanding of HMO, managed care, and various coverage options.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to prioritize work and minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • HS diploma required and completion of a certificate and associate degree preferred in business-related or medical assisting program or equivalent.
