Job Title

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Coordinator Specialist to oversee the intake process, support patient retention efforts, verify insurance eligibility, schedule treatments, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and be passionate about enhancing the patient experience. They will be responsible for coordinating appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and communicating with patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance eligibility through phone, fax, or payer portals to ensure seamless treatment scheduling.
  • Coordinate and manage patient appointments with minimal delays in treatment to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the infusion therapy process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system to ensure continuity of care.
  • Submit prior authorizations and handle appeal requests for denied claims in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Intake, Pharmacy, Scheduling, and Clinical teams to ensure efficient and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or scheduling.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
