About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer IIAM to join our team at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our Internal Identity and Access Management (IIAM) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain IAM tools to ensure secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Manage user roles and permissions to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop processes to protect sensitive data.
  • Remediate findings and maintain the integrity of our identity management systems.
  • Partner with other teams to communicate and gather engineering requirements for IIAM.
  • Identify automation opportunities to create repeatable processes and improve design, detection, and response activities.
  • Research the latest security threats, trends, and technologies relevant to IIAM.
  • Perform periodic and on-demand audits and vulnerability assessments of IIAM-related accounts and processes.
  • Execute remediation plans for findings related to IIAM capabilities.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IIAM security tooling or processes.
  • Assist with implementing security controls that enable monitoring of our IIAM security posture.
  • Review existing business processes to ensure they conform to the security controls for IIAM.
  • Document compensating controls that strengthen IIAM security capabilities.
  • Identify gaps and suggest new processes where they do not exist.
  • Work with various business and technology teams to understand and deliver capabilities that meet their IIAM needs.
  • Produce evidence for all internal and external audits related to IIAM.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of IAM security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with IAM tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements.
