Production Assembler II Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Assembler II to join our team at General Dynamics OTS Inc. in Moses Lake, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
  • Repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
  • Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Vocational/Technical Training
  • Experience using computers (MS Office Software) to locate and enter processing data
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required

Working Conditions:

The Production Assembler II will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

The employee must be able to wear and care for personal protective equipment (PPE) required to perform assigned tasks.

The employee must be able to use precision measuring equipment to obtain process data (micrometers, scales, calipers, etc.).

The employee must be able to work with various hand tools, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.

The employee must be able to perform propellant and assembly operations in accordance with written instructions.

The employee must be able to comply with all safety regulations and reports or corrects hazards.

The employee must be able to understand and comply with all quality requirements and meets satisfactory production standards and inspection requirements.

The employee must be able to follow verbal and written work directions as assigned by Supervisor and/or Lead personnel.

The employee must be able to obtain completion/achievement of torque certification.
