Job Title: Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our team at City of Hope. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer treatment program.

Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accurate positioning of the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and delivering the prescribed dose. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into electronic medical records.
  • Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information.
  • Cut blocks and make custom molds as needed.
  • Interpret computerized treatment plans and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program and hold valid state licensure for radiation therapy. Additionally, you will need to be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and have at least 0-3 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
