Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support care to patients in the prehospital and emergency department settings. You will work closely with other emergency personnel to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced life support care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and interpreting medical data.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Operate emergency vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Current Paramedic licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Paramedic.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
  • AHA BLS, PHTLS/ITLS, TECC/TCCC, and NRP certifications.
Work Environment:

As a Paramedic with Norwalk Hospital Association, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. You will also be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to lift and move patients as needed.
