Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will assist anesthesia providers in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation, anesthesia setup, and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia equipment, including non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring and fiberoptic intubation.
  • Provide patient care activities, including positioning, anesthesia blocks, and emergency C-sections.
  • Respond to Code Blue and other emergency situations with the anesthesia care team.
  • Prepare and apply patient warming modalities as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure efficient room turnover and patient flow.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • IV Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs of equipment from an overhead position and push/pull up to 500 lbs.
  • Keyboarding skills and ability to use computer software applications, including the Health Connect system.
  • Ability to stand or walk continuously and demonstrate manual dexterity and mechanical ability.
