Food Service Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Technician II to join our team at the State of California. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and distribution to patients and staff.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Prepare and serve food according to established menus and recipes.
- Collaborate with the Supervising Cook I to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
- Respond to emergency situations as trained in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI).
- One year of experience performing the duties of a Food Service Technician I in the California state service.
- Or two years of experience in the distribution and service of foods in a large quantity, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to food preparation and handling. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
