Operations Manager II

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing team in the dairy industry. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, quality control, and team leadership to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing operations business plans to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product strategy and research new and emerging products.
  • Establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and monitor product delivery.
  • Guide the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, and equipment needs.
  • Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with suppliers and other functions to optimize production and resource utilization.
  • Review production and operating reports to identify areas for improvement and resolve operational issues.
  • Perform administrative activities associated with shop operations, including data compilation and reporting.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing, environmental, and working conditions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments to ensure company performance and safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5+ years' experience in operations management.
  • 5+ years' experience in a high-volume food/beverage production and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Operations management responsibility in a 24/7 operation.
  • Budgeting and planning experience required.
  • Proven experience in managing operational functions such as projects, processing, and packaging.
  • Experience in building functional teams and leading cross-functional initiatives.
