Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing general radiographic procedures and more complex procedures according to written or transcribed verbal orders of a physician.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general radiographic procedures and more complex procedures according to written or transcribed verbal orders of a physician.
  • Demonstrate competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Participate in the department's call schedule to ensure coverage of weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Use independent judgment according to particular circumstances in each modality to perform a broad range of imaging procedures.
  • Maintain a repeat rate of 3% - 5% and verification of proficiency in each modality is measured by achieving a rate of 90% - 98% on the annual departmental competency evaluation.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) / Registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for Imaging including cross sectional relationships, medical terminology relating to Imaging procedures.
  • Ability to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and other persons.
