Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Stanford University's Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical research studies, managing data, and collaborating with principal investigators and study sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and enroll research participants, develop effective strategies for promoting and retaining participants in long-term clinical trials.
  • Manage data collection, organization, and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop project schedules, targets, and measurements, lead team meetings, and prepare/approve minutes.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor new staff or students, including performance evaluations and instruction on project work.
  • Audit operations to ensure compliance with regulations, provide leadership in identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators and study sponsors, monitor and report serious adverse events, and resolve study queries.
  • Develop study budgets, track patient and study milestones, and invoice sponsors according to study contract.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications (Redcap, etc.), and experience with research protocols and regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.
Working Conditions:

The position may require working with hazardous materials, exposure to chemicals, blood, body fluids, or tissues, and risk of exposure to contagious diseases and infections. May require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
