About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the mechanical design process for multiple projects, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed industry standards for safety and functionality.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Interface with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables, and to communicate project progress and results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the quality of our work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our engineering processes and deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on complex systems design and development.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, with a focus on mechanical systems design and development.
