Nuclear Power Plant Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a Nuclear Power Plant Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for nuclear power plants, including preparation and review of modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
  • Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment and develop engineering cost estimates for client-requested work scopes.
  • Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients to present engineering tasks and status.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
  • PE license is beneficial but not required.
