The Lead Tax Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the corporate tax operations concerning federal and state issues.
This role involves direct collaboration with tax and finance team members on matters related to U.S. tax filings, federal tax provisions, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tax documentation and submissions for various jurisdictions within regulatory timelines.
- Development and maintenance of tax calculation schedules to facilitate federal and state taxable income and tax accounting.
- Researching tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions to ascertain the correct technical treatment.
- Assisting in the response to tax information inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Creating documentation to support tax authority audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate federal and/or state taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Income Tax Compliance/Provision Software.
- Candidate must reside in Central Standard Time (CST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree is preferred.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with Onesource Income Tax.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
This position does not qualify for employer-based sponsorship.
As required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $60,000-$90,000. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. This salary range reflects CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
