Parker Hannifin Corporation is a global leader in motion and control technologies, and we are seeking a skilled Aerospace Assembler 3 to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced operations and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and work instructions to properly assemble sheet metal aircraft components.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to production planning, verbal and written instructions, sketches, and specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools to scribe, grind, punch, deburr, fit, and drill sheet metal detail parts, sub-assemblies, or complete units.
  • May perform sizing, riveting, reaming, spotwelding, seamwelding, poke tacking, and braze preparation.
  • Detect and provide input for resolution to faulty operations.
  • May prepare and develop schedules for spotwelding, seamwelding, riveting, and fastener installation.
  • Perform more complex repairs.
  • Ability to work with details and assemblies that are at the high or low ends of conformance to produce a quality product.
  • May do tig-tacking for assembly purposes.
  • Check for prescribed dimensions in jigs, fixtures, or with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection devices.
  • Follow and accurately interpret written instructions and drawings, planning, sketches, and best practice worksheets.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
  • Train others in multiple areas and on a variety of skills.
  • Improve processes and tools.
  • Resolve most challenges and complex problems. Proactively engages Engineering and Supervision to resolve recurring and most complex issues.
  • Aids in development of new jobs.
  • May oversee others.
  • Complete Exotic Metals OpCert class and hold OpCert stamp.
  • Has experience in multiple cells and can move to various work areas easily, having a mastery of all steps of a process.
Physical Requirements:
  • The assembler performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, and handling of material.
