Hyundai Rotem USA is a global leader in heavy industry, specializing in the manufacturing of rolling stock, military equipment, and plant engineering. As a key player in the industry, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Coordinator to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise outside processing and arrange logistics with forwarding/trucking companies.
  • Interface with Engineering and Quality to ensure supplier adherence to technical requirements.
  • Work with project management to ensure efficient and consistent procurement practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor supplier performance and recommend modifications when necessary.
  • Follow up on issues with relevant departments and manage team members for effective decision-making and supplier collaboration.
  • Enter purchasing documents into the global purchasing system.
  • Process and confirm payments for suppliers using ERP.
  • Track payment progress and monitor shipments pickup and delivery from suppliers.
  • Create and release purchase orders.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders to set shipping arrangements.
  • Collaborate with team members for decision-making, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and resolving pending issues.
  • Involve in the development of parts from the initial stage to support Engineering, Quality, and Project Management teams.
  • Expedite drawings, confirmations, deliveries, and information from suppliers for Engineering, Quality, and Project Management's requests.
  • Manage contracts and negotiate with vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Contract management experience.
  • Ability to work with international customers, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Heavy industry experience preferred, with a background in the rail industry preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Accounting, or relevant experience.
