Job Overview:

The Seat Integration Team within the Payloads Organization at Boeing Commercial Aircraft is on the lookout for Experienced and Senior Engineers to enhance our team based in the Pacific Northwest.

The Payloads Organization is integral to the passenger experience, overseeing the design and functionality of aircraft interiors, cargo areas, and safety systems. Our mission is to support airline customers in delivering exceptional service while embodying their brand identity. This role operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, drawing from diverse engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Seat Engineer, you will:

  • Oversee the integration of various passenger seat programs into Boeing aircraft, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams, to address technical challenges and facilitate project success.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to resolve issues and coordinate efforts effectively.
  • Engage in both domestic and international travel as required.

Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with expertise in:

  • Engineering support and leadership within manufacturing systems.
  • Direct interaction with suppliers and customers.
  • Requirements management and validation.
  • Standard engineering practices, including interface definition and engineering documentation.
  • Effective communication with external stakeholders and executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including design and integration.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace interior design.
  • Experience in program management and project execution.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite work at one of the designated locations.
