Principal Nuclear Engineer

At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Nuclear Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support, and training world-class nuclear operators.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear engineering, with a focus on reactor design, safety, and operations. You will work closely with our team of engineers, scientists, and technicians to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex nuclear propulsion challenges.
Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced nuclear propulsion systems
- Provide technical support to nuclear operators and maintenance personnel
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in nuclear technology
- Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering or a related field
- Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in nuclear engineering
- Strong background in reactor design, safety, and operations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
