Lead Our Psychiatry Services as a Dedicated Psychiatrist

We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to lead our Psychiatry Services at Northwest Medical Center - Springdale in Springdale, Arkansas.

Role Overview:

As the inpatient Medical Director for Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and ensuring exceptional care for our patients.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality and performance initiatives to maintain the integrity of the BHU.
  • Represent psychiatry in hospital meetings and act as the point person for psychiatric topics, both clinical and administrative.
  • Participate in program development and expansion efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Oversee psychiatry providers to meet volume and quality expectations.
  • Participate in recruitment, orientation, and performance management of providers.
  • Be available for clinical escalation during emergencies.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose patients, and prescribe medications.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and complete clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with stakeholders.
  • Provide referrals and education to patients and families.
  • Offer outpatient psychiatric services virtually when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Arkansas licensure or willingness to become licensed.
  • Board certification or eligibility.
