We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to lead our Inpatient Psychiatry Services as Medical Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead quality and performance initiatives to maintain the integrity of our Inpatient Psychiatry Services.
- Represent psychiatry in hospital meetings and serve as the point person for psychiatric topics, both clinical and administrative.
- Participate in program development and expansion efforts to enhance our services.
- Oversee psychiatry providers to meet volume and quality expectations.
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, and performance management of providers.
- Be available for clinical escalation during emergencies.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose patients, and prescribe medications.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and complete clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with stakeholders.
- Provide referrals and education to patients and families.
- Offer outpatient psychiatric services virtually when necessary.
- Arkansas licensure or willingness to become licensed.
- Board certification or eligibility.
