About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Facilities Support Intern to join our team at Verizon. As a Network Facilities Support Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that enhance your skills in network construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities will include managing internal and external partners and vendors, collaborating with partners to establish project designs and timelines, and designing and managing activities to maintain and transport materials. You will also operate and monitor building facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems, and assist engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes.

This is a hybrid internship, with a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Telecommunications, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related majors with a completion date between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Confirmed attendance at the WE24 Conference taking place from October, 2024.
  • Coursework or demonstrated experience in TCP/IP Protocols.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, MPLS systems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.
  • Report Automation (Tableau).
  • Project management software (ex: JIRA).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics and optics.
What We Offer

As a Network Facilities Support Intern at Verizon, you will be eligible to participate in our robust 401(k) Savings Plan, which provides a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of your contributions as a percentage of your eligible pay. You will also be eligible for holiday pay, as applicable.

The compensation range for this position is between $25/hour - $31/hour, with the salary varying depending on your role and class year.
