Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team at Veolia North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient operation of our plant and pump stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians to inspect, maintain, repair, and install mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Review daily team requirements and oversee work assignments to ensure schedules are met.
  • Monitor work assignments and ensure team members are meeting or exceeding production and quality standards.
  • Coach and train team members to increase skill level and improve productivity, safety, quality, and processes in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot, resolve, or coordinate resolution of technical issues/problems on a proactive basis.
  • Prepare work orders and reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • Model safe work practices and provide leadership in achieving safety goals.
Requirements
  • High school or GED with the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Over five years of experience in a related position in a similar environment.
  • Vocational training and mechanical aptitude required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use computer programs for preparing work orders and reports.
  • Must demonstrate ability to mentor, coach, and train others to identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Must have the ability to diagnose problems, troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment, and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Technician Lead will spend 100% of their time in an operations environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor and inclement weather. The role requires the ability to work at heights, use hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds.
