Job Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
- Conduct regular ledger procedures, account reconciliation, and manage accounts receivable.
- Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
- Forecast quarterly and annual profits and advise on budgeting and financial planning strategies.
- Develop and maintain financial models for decision support.
- Implement and adhere to internal controls while suggesting improvements for efficiency and spending.
- Assist in the development of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
- Perform cost accounting and management accounting tasks.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for complex financial reporting and analysis.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
- Solid experience in account reconciliation, budgeting, preparing financial statements, and financial auditing.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and risk management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability.
- CPA certification is a plus.
