Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a seasoned Board-Certified Cardiologist to assume the role of Chair of Cardiovascular Services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Compensation

A highly competitive salary of $400,000-$600,000 annually, commensurate with experience, is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement fund matching, generous Paid Time Off, and CME time.

About the Role

This exceptional opportunity allows for a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities, empowering the successful candidate to lead a multidisciplinary team of experts in cardiovascular care. As Chair of Cardiovascular Services, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the management and delivery of quality Cardiology services at SFHMC and its outpatient clinics.

  • Collaborate with leadership to provide oversight on inpatient, hospital, and ambulatory cardiology programs both at SFHMC and with community outreach for care coordination.
  • Create processes, oversee staff, recruit providers, and establish relationships with hospital leaders and service lines.
  • Evaluate services to ensure compliance with all hospital and regulatory agency standards and procedures, as well as The Joint Commission and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.

You will also have the flexibility to balance clinical and administrative duties, allowing for professional growth and development. Additionally, opportunities for academic affiliation at University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University are available.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in leadership and clinical Cardiology/Cardiovascular/ Heart and Vascular Care
  • Interest in all aspects of cardiac care and rehabilitation, with teaching fellows, and academic affiliation at UCONN and/or Quinnipiac
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, focused on providing outstanding patient-centered care
