Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Technician to join our team at EngageMED, Inc. as a Float Pool Specialist. As a key member of our medical imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic procedures, protecting patients and staff from radiation hazards, and taking X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate radiographic equipment, including setting up and positioning patients for X-ray procedures.
  • Process X-ray images, checking for clarity and retaking as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure X-ray units meet safety standards.
  • Clean and maintain radiographic equipment, including making minor adjustments and determining equipment repairs.
  • Order and maintain radiographic supplies, including film.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
  • One year of experience as an X-ray technician, preferably in a medical practice environment.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing for six to eight hours per day, walking, stooping, and bending. You will be exposed to disease, radiation, and toxic chemicals in the course of performing your duties. Occasional stress may occur when working with anxious patients.
