Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Technician to provide clinical and administrative support to our team at Cardiology and Medicine Enterprises. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate patient monitoring equipment to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
  • Conduct EKGs and apply EKG leads accurately while documenting ECG readings.
  • Monitor and record cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry readings, interpreting and identifying any abnormalities.
  • Document patient health history and any irregularities for physician review.
  • Provide instructions to patients on necessary sample collection and tests.
  • Take vital signs and escort patients to designated areas.
  • Observe and report patient conditions and responses to treatments and medications.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt entries in patient charts and forward them as required.
  • Maintain patient records and related information.
  • Assist in scheduling tests and treatments.
  • Facilitate specialist referrals and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with essential instruments.
  • Stock and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
  • Inform patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
  • Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and post-care instructions.
  • Manage inventory and monitor supply usage.
  • Keep medical equipment inventory up to date.
  • Handle and screen phone calls, ensuring efficient departmental flow.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Monitor Technician Course or Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Competency is a must.
  • Proficiency in performing Vitals and Rooming Patients, EKGs, ABIs, Venipuncture, Treadmill Stress Tests, and Limited X-Rays.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience required.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a bonus.
