Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and managing a designated group of patients during assigned shifts. This role involves utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patients, focusing on their physiological, psychological, and cognitive conditions.
- Develop and implement a prioritized care plan based on nursing diagnoses and desired patient outcomes.
- Deliver care consistently and skillfully, ensuring a high standard of practice.
- Establish patient care priorities based on immediate needs and available resources.
- Assess the effectiveness of care and monitor patient progress towards recovery.
- Identify and address the educational needs of patients and their families.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements associated with the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Current RN license in the state of Connecticut.
Preferred:
One year of recent experience in medical/surgical nursing and oncology.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Evening Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Additional Information:
- Sign-On Bonus available for qualified external candidates with a minimum of one year of acute care RN experience.
- Desired qualifications include nursing certification and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements:
Significant manual dexterity and the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force may be required. Exposure to various occupational hazards is possible.
