Construction Superintendent

The Pacific Companies is a leading developer of affordable housing and multifamily units, with a strong commitment to excellence in development and construction. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in Lemoore, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment on the job site, adhering to legislative safety requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and execute project plans and schedules, ensuring compliance with budget and timelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities, including those of trade contractors, to ensure high-quality workmanship and materials.
  • Create site-specific plans and procedures to be implemented throughout the project duration.
  • Verify that project materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, inspectors, and municipal authorities to obtain necessary information and resolve issues.
  • Provide input on costing and forecasting, working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the project's daily job diary and provide regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in a Superintendent role, with a strong background in multifamily unit construction.
  • Experience in vertical concrete construction and related trades.
  • Proven knowledge of construction industry operations, including construction specifications, plans, materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Competency in leading safety programs and supervising large subcontractor teams.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment and lead by example.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in leading and assessing trade performance on the job site.
  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
  • Proficiency in visualizing the entire project and anticipating constructability issues.
  • Experience with creating and monitoring project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Understanding of when to seek professional advice and experience in managing others.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in modular construction.
