About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful setting in the rolling hills of North Salem, Westchester County, with a 5-Star Rated facility known for providing the highest quality care and resident experience.

Job Summary

The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, overseeing, and supervising assigned unit activities and staff assignments, demonstrating clinical expertise consistent with established standards of Nursing Practice. This role requires identifying and responding to patient needs, monitoring and documenting vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Communicate and direct services to appropriate team members, residents, family, or medical staff as needed
  • Identify and follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other vendors/services
  • Perform RN assessment to residents' post-incidents or change in condition
  • Lead and direct emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters
Requirements
  • Current and good standing RN License in the State of New York
  • Previous experience with geriatric/short-term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable
  • Progressive Nursing experience in a geriatric setting. Supervisory experience preferred
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
  • Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff
