The Ground Operations Specialist is tasked with delivering effective service to all internal and external clients by utilizing comprehensive knowledge of company protocols and proper aircraft ground handling, while also communicating proficiently with customers, pilots, and team members within the customer service division.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing aircraft movement, positioning, fueling, and storage
  2. Overseeing fuel quality control, disposal, and documentation
  3. Conducting daily inspections and maintenance of crew vehicles
  4. Ensuring facility upkeep and maintenance
  5. Providing exceptional customer service and promoting available services
  6. Participating in monthly crew meetings
  7. Engaging in annual recurrent training

Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Ground Operations Manager.

Work Environment
This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves direct interaction with both moving and stationary aircraft. Exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery may occur.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, including but not limited to:
  1. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  2. Potential exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
  3. Outdoor work in all weather conditions
  4. Physical activities may include bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping, and climbing ladders
Position Type and Expected Hours
This is a non-exempt role that includes shift work, requiring availability for evenings, weekends, and scheduled company holidays.

Travel Requirements
No travel is anticipated for this position.

Qualifications
  1. Preferred customer service experience in the service industry
  2. Prior experience in aircraft ground handling is advantageous
  3. High School Diploma or equivalent
  4. This is an entry-level position
  5. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  6. Acceptable driving record
  7. Zero tolerance drug-free workplace, including pre-employment and random screenings
Compensation
The pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with flexibility based on previous aviation experience.
