Nutrition Services Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Nutrition Services team at Zachary Lane Elementary. As a Nutrition Services worker, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving food to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food according to planned menus and operate equipment as needed.
  • Maintain daily records of food production and inventory of food and supplies.
  • Complete daily set-up of school food and provide materials and supplies as needed for menu items.
  • Service as cashier for student and staff lunches and assist students with technology support for cashier functions.
  • Serve food to students according to menu and guidelines and remind students of meal options.
  • Clean all kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commercial food service equipment.
  • Ability to maintain records and operate computer/cash registers.
  • Able to verbally communicate with co-workers, students, and staff.
  • Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServSafe certification within the first 6 months of employment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
