Compensation: Hourly rate of $17.10, with applicable shift differentials.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture blood products and samples, ensuring adherence to quality and quantity production goals.
- Process blood products after receipt from donors, including scanning, component separation, and leukoreduction.
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform effective inventory management throughout the production and distribution processes.
- Utilize computer programs for data entry related to component production, labeling, and sample management.
- Conduct visual inspections and make informed decisions based on provided information to meet operational timelines.
- Execute complex manufacturing tasks, including pooled product manufacturing and pathogen reduction.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and volunteers.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet hospital needs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with various programs and laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to use hands for handling and reaching, and to communicate effectively. Frequently lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs. Unassisted. Must be able to withstand temperatures typical of blood banking environments.
