Aerospace Receiving Inspector

Eaton Aerospace Group is seeking a skilled Receiving Inspector to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products and a strong understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing in-process and/or incoming dimensional and visual inspections of hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and mechanical component parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. They will also be responsible for reviewing and accepting paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product, as well as producing necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports.

The Receiving Inspector will work closely with the Quality Supervisor Inspection to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards. They will also be responsible for completing data processing move transactions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and/or incoming dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace precision machined components and/or assemblies
  • Review and accept paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product
  • Produce necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports
  • Complete data processing move transactions as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products
  • Strong understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience inspecting various types of materials (e.g., aluminum, alloy, titanium, stainless steel, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience inspecting aerospace products with coatings (e.g., anodizing, cadmium plating, chromium plating, nickel plating, zinc plating, passivation, etc.)
  • College or ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification a plus
