Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse RN Progressive Phase II PACU to join our team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing exceptional patient care and possess excellent communication skills.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients admitted for surgical or diagnostic procedures in the Day Surgery Unit. You will work closely with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes and provide effective communication, confidence, and professionalism throughout your interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (BSN preferred)
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical setting (Day Surgery/Pre-Op experience is a plus)
  • A current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
