The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment where your expertise, professionalism, and teamwork will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee the consolidation of international subsidiaries.
  • Guarantee precise and timely execution of financial transactions in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations.
  • Perform variance analyses to uncover trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement.
  • Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and propose corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare periodic tax submissions, including business property, sales, use, and franchise taxes.
  • Assist with external audits and tax preparation inquiries.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the clinical laboratory sector.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial principles, and accounting methodologies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Accumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Experience with billing and collection software (e.g., Xifin, Telcor, Quadax) is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to present financial information to varied audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality is of utmost importance.
  • Experience with ERP system implementations is preferred.
