Job Responsibilities
  • Practice medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Assess patient status by obtaining health history and ordering/performing laboratory diagnostic tests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensure and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State.
  • Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies or equivalent, and successful completion of a training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and at least one year of experience as a physician assistant in ambulatory health care.
