Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive annual salary range of $100,000-$150,000, designed to reflect your skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Description

As an Ambulatory Healthcare Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner with Community Care Physicians, you will have the opportunity to practice medicine with physician supervision, conducting examinations and writing prescriptions as needed. You will collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, assess patient status by obtaining health history, order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screening tests, and treat illnesses, give injections, and suture wounds.

You will also be responsible for monitoring therapies and providing continuity of care, counseling patients/families on preventive healthcare, and participating in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensure and active registration as a Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner in New York State
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, completion of a Physician Assistant training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, passing grade on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination, current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, at least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory healthcare, and current CPR certification
  • Nurse Practitioner: Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED, current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board or the American Nurses Credentialing Center, successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED, three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred, at least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in ambulatory healthcare, and current CPR certification
