Job Title: Technical Product Manager - Robotics

Renu Robotics is a pioneering robotics technology company addressing the critical challenge of site management in the renewable energy transition. Our revolutionary robotic platform offers a scalable solution to vegetation management, enabling the rapid growth of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company objectives, conducting market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback collection to identify opportunities and define product roadmaps.
  • Product Development: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for the engineering team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between engineering and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration, presenting product updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including executives and other teams.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Work with QA teams to ensure the product meets quality standards and is free of defects, overseeing user testing and beta programs to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Product Launch and Post-Launch Activities: Plan and coordinate product launches, working with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful rollouts, monitoring product performance post-launch, analyzing metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the product development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources, allocating resources effectively, balancing project timelines, team capacity, and business priorities.
Qualifications:
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years- Proven experience in product management, particularly in an engineering or technology-focused role.
  • Experience managing product strategy or strategic product management in B2B tech startups and scaleups, big tech, and/or consulting, ideally with experience in mixed hardware and software portfolios.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to develop complex software or hardware products.
Skills:
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and engage in technical discussions with engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience in energy/renewables is desired but not required.
  • Comfortable managing and prioritizing a complex platform product.
  • Comfortable with developing and improving business models, including setting product pricing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a startup environment or with rapidly scaling products.
  • Knowledge of specific industry standards, such as software development best practices, hardware design, or regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in leading or managing a team of engineers or product managers.
