Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in shaping the initial experience of our patients.

This position emphasizes your organizational skills, operational efficiency, and customer service expertise, providing ample opportunities for leadership and innovation.

You will collaborate closely with administration, medical staff, and other departments to ensure seamless support for our patients and their families.

Your responsibilities will include creating a welcoming environment for patients, family members, and visitors while executing tasks related to pre-admissions, admissions, and registrations.

As part of your role, you will conduct interviews with patients or their representatives to gather essential demographic and financial information, accurately documenting this data in our electronic records system.

Additionally, you will verify insurance benefits, clarify financial obligations to patients or their representatives, and collect any outstanding payments at the point of service.

This role also includes mentoring new team members and assisting with their orientation.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient registration and insurance verification
- Manage cash collections and phone inquiries
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Solve problems and manage workflow effectively

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous office experience in a healthcare setting, with familiarity in medical terminology
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer skills
- High School diploma is required

Physical Requirements:
This role involves sedentary work, which may include prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.
