Senior Financial Executive CFO

About the Role
Cambridge Associates is seeking a highly skilled Fund CFO to lead the financial and operational aspects of our Fund Platform. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of private fund operations, including fund closings, cash management, accounting, investor reporting, audit, valuation, and tax functions.
The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a strong background in private markets asset classes, such as private equity, venture capital, credit, and real assets. They will also have experience with private markets fund of funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
The Fund CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of CA's Fund Platform, including 70 vehicles, 500 LPs, and ~$9B in AUM. They will lead and develop a high-performing team of fund accounting and operations professionals, oversee external fund service provider relationships, and ensure CA's funds are compliant with LPA terms and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of fund accounting and operations professionals.
- Oversee external fund service provider relationships, including contract and fee negotiations.
- Ensure CA's funds are compliant with LPA terms and regulations (in partnership with CA Legal and Compliance).
- Partner closely with investment and operations professionals to advance the capabilities of CA's Fund Platform.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of private fund operations, including fund closings, cash management, accounting, investor reporting, audit, valuation, and tax functions.
- Experience with private markets asset classes, such as private equity, venture capital, credit, and real assets.
- Experience with private markets fund of funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA, CPA, and/or CFA strongly preferred.
