Credentialing Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clinicians are fully prepared for their assignments. You will be the go-to point of contact for all credentialing-related matters, ensuring that clinician files are complete, compliant, and maintained according to established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credentialing Process Management: Request, verify, organize, and maintain all aspects of clinician employee files, ensuring timely completion and compliance with Joint Commission and client requirements.
- Clinician Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clinicians, guiding them through the credentialing process via phone, text, and email.
- Documentation Oversight: Work with clinicians to gather new hire paperwork and credentialing documentation, ensuring a smooth and timely start for their assignments.
- Vendor Collaboration: Partner with external vendors for necessary health items and competency testing, as well as assist clinicians with obtaining new licenses.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and upload all documentation to our database, ensuring that tracking systems are current and compliant.
- Internal Communication: Keep managers informed of progress and any significant issues, coordinating effectively with recruiting and production teams.
- Problem Solving: Promote goodwill and a positive image of the company while swiftly addressing any credentialing-related challenges.
- Timely and accurate credentialing of clinicians according to company and client requirements.
- Serve as a reliable resource for clinicians and associates regarding credentialing processes.
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant internal operating system records.
- Foster effective working relationships across departments.
- Keep management informed of activities and potential issues.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent; B.S. degree preferred.
- Experience: One or more years in a credentialing-related field preferred.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and public relations skills.
- Proficient in navigating computer systems and relevant shortcuts.
- Strong phone communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
- Strong follow-up and escalation skills per company policy.
