Cardiac Catheterization Labs - Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including variable on-call responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays. A 30-minute response time is expected for on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Invasive Cardiac Specialist, you will:
1. Provide patient care under the guidance of physicians, ensuring comfort and well-being.
2. Assist in invasive cardiac procedures by preparing patients and equipment, serving as a scrub assistant, and documenting hemodynamic and electrocardiographic data.
3. Mentor new staff and students, while maintaining the department's equipment and supplies.
4. Prepare the laboratory for procedures by ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile.
5. Verify patient identity and review medical histories to confirm necessary pre-operative assessments.
6. Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures, providing reassurance and support.
7. Educate patients and families about procedures, addressing any questions or concerns.
8. Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor IVs and other equipment.
9. Maintain accurate records and logs of procedures and equipment used.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements through continuous education.
Essential Qualifications:
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within three months of hire.
• Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or as a Registered Cardiographic Technician (RCIS) are preferred.
Educational Background:
• Graduation from an accredited cardiovascular technology program or a related healthcare field is required.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in a laboratory setting with minimal exposure to excessive noise or environmental hazards. Occasional exposure to infectious diseases may occur.
