MOHELA is seeking a skilled Financial Adjustment Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Adjustment Specialist, you will be responsible for reconciling all payment activity related to Federal Asset Accounting, including reapplication of payments, refunding, and posting of write-offs.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile payment activity between payment interfaces, Compass servicing system, and CIR to ensure accurate reporting to FMS.
- Research and resolve payment suspensions to determine corrective action.
- Process IPAC IN/Out, including extracting schedule information and reporting payments as required.
- Refund credit balances and process write-offs in accordance with rules and regulations.
- Accurately and timely complete IDQ/IPL tasks, including payment reapplication and removal of paid-ahead.
- Maintain and assure program compliance through the strategic use of MOHELA's systems and quality control standards.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum 8000 KSPH 10-key skill and basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
